Dear Artist,
There is a lot of work that goes into being an artist that has nothing to do with the actual making of the work.
Researching opportunities and applying for them; updating websites, CVs, artist statements, and inventory; tracking finances, developing projects and creating budgets and proposals; business planning and strategizing - it’s a lot. Many artists prioritize the making of their work, but for a variety of reasons let the administrative work fall behind.
I would love to help.
As an artist myself, I am very familiar with the extra work that sustains an artist’s studio practice. I am also aware of the way the art world can feel arbitrary. My approach is to find tangible things artists can be doing and to pair it with information gathering about the way the art world operates to make their practice and career become sustainable.
