Artist Deadlines Subscription

$35/month
No commitment

The Artist Deadlines Subscription is a monthly service that sends selected opportunities to subscribers. This is not a one-size-fits-all subscription; the questionnaire below lets me know what types of opportunities each artist is interested in so that I can find deadlines based on their interests and priorities. Each month, the subscriber will receive information on average six open call opportunities.

To sign up for the Deadlines Subscription service, I’ll need to get to know you in order to identify the best opportunities for you. The questionnaire below is designed to give me some information about you, your goals and priorities. Once completed, you will receive payment details via email and your subscription will begin once paid.

Still have questions before signing up? Check out the FAQs below, and please first read through the terms of service:

Subscription FAQs:

  • A: This depends to some degree on your interests, however I aim to send each artist one deadline per week.

  • A: There is no time commitment. Artists can sign up for month-to-month service and stop at any time, however, mid-month cancellations will not be refunded.

  • A: Many open call opportunities have application fees. I try to select the ones that I feel have the most potential benefits and also try to highlight ones with no fees.

  • A: I will base the opportunities I send out on the information given to me by the artist in the Questionnaire. I aim to offer a range of quality opportunities that are both local to the artist, and around the rest of the country as well as international (if of interest to the artist). These can include: residencies, juried shows, solo shows, curatorial projects, grants, awards, fellowships, online sales platforms, publications, public art RFQs, art and craft fairs and educational opportunities.

  • A: Artists can be at any stage of their career for most deadlines. Some calls will specify if there are eligibility requirements regarding how long an applicant has been practicing.

  • A: Generally, artists will be emailed a minimum of 2 weeks in advance, or 3-4 weeks if the application requires extensive work or advance planning.

  • A: I believe knowing what opportunities are available regardless of if you apply this time around is valuable. Many artists I’ve spoken to frequently feel that they don’t know how to move forward, or what next steps to take. Starting to learn about the possibilities can be informative and encouraging.
